Megan loves to sit up and roll!

Megan just loves to sit up these days, she no longer likes to lay still in my arms or on her play mat, oh no, where ever mummy is Megan has to be and she likes to know what I am doing or else she complains very loudly!!

Megan also likes spending time on her tummy reading her favourite book.....

And Meggie has even started to roll, not quite over on to her tummy but she is nearly there!

4 Months Old

Our Meggie is 4 months old today and she is having a cuddle with Nana :)

Today Megan is.....

3months, 3 weeks and 3 days old... She was weighed on Thursday I can't believe that Megan now weighs 13lbs she is growing by the day.

Another first for Megan - today she sat up on her own in her new bumbo seat for the first time that Uncle Alan & Auntie Michael brought and she loved it! She spent 20 minutes in it watching me and chatting to me whilst I got showered and dressed and she even got a bit upset when I took her out of it!

8 Have Fun in Dorset...

We had a wonderful weekend away in Dorset at John & Nic's fantastic cottage along with Jel & Shirley. It was a weekend full of firsts for Megan, such as hiking up a very steep hill with daddy behind the controls (the off road mode on the pram worked a treat especially in thick mud!) Megan's first trip to the seaside for a stroll on the beach, and flirting with the very handsome Joseph..... But Joseph was more interested in her bunny.... :)

Megan prepares for her 1st Christmas

Megan and I have been rather busy over the last few weeks buying Christmas presents for our nearest and dearest and this week we found a little hat for Meggie to wear on Christmas day... Of course she had to try it on and pose for the camera!!

Meggie's Growing!

Our daughter is growing so fast, she has just moved up a clothes size so now in 3-6 months! Today was the first time she wore shoes too, it is her first pair of Chuck Taylors ahhhh mummy has the same pair just a bit bigger!

3 Months Old!

We cannot believe that Megan is now 3 months old, well to be precise she is 13 weeks + 1 day today and weighs a very healthy 12lbs 9oz.... Poor little babes had to suffer her 12 week immunisations this week too, but lucky Nanny was around to hold her whilst the nurse took action and mummy covered her ears and shut her eyes whilst she was jabbed in the legs twice with a giant needle (and yes, it looks as though Megan is taking on mummy's drama queen traits!)

Mummy is out of hospital!!

After suffering with mastitis for 11 weeks from breastfeeding, and many courses of antibiotics to try and get rid of it, it horribly turned into a deep set abscess. So I had the delight of an 8 day stay at Queen Mary's Hospital where Meggie was born.... It was awful and I missed Lee and Megan very much. But lucky daddy got to spend a lot of quality time with his daughter (as Lee likes to say, he was thrown in at the deep end but survived!) and although very tired, he loved his time with Meggie.... Now mummy is out (after having an operation to remove the abscess) and back fit and well at home where I should be! Yippee :)

Feeding the Ducks in Hyde Park

We had a lovely Sunday afternoon walking through Hyde Park and stopped for lunch and to feed the ducks...

Supporting Cousin Arron the Marathon Man!

What a lovely weekend we have had.... We all went into town to support Arron run his half marathon in memory of Lisa and he finished the circuit in 2 hours 13mins which is fantastic, we of course missed the finish (someone told us the wrong start time!!) But well done Arron!

8 Weeks

Our lovely daughter is 8 weeks old today, to be honest we cannot remember life without her... Not even a lazy Sunday, sleeping through the night and what alcohol tastes like (Lee I am sure will be able to remind me!!)

The weigh in today went well, no weeing on the scales today and Megan now weighs 11lb 3oz and now measures 57.5cms which means she is on the 75th centile (child growth foundation) - all in proportion and not a fattie - yeay!

Smiles & Cooing All Round...

Meggie is so much more alert these days and we love it. The smiles, cooing and talking have been almost non-stop. It really is wonderful very and very rewarding especially when we have been through the newly / aptly named "witching hour" (thanks sis, it sums it up for us) for those not in the know or who haven't experienced our daughters lungs, it is the hour that happens to fall on daddy's arrival home from a hard day at the office between 7-8pm when our little Meggie-moo-mar decides to cry for a solid hour and nothing can stop her.... Some call it colic, we call it hell!!!!!

Solution to getting the housework done

Since this photo was taken we seem to have mastered getting dressed before midday! At the same time we have also mastered a new plan on getting the housework done and our daily chores without Megan crying - she doesn't like to be ignored or on her own for too long (something she gets off of her mummy, the looks come from daddy!)

6 Weeks Old & Growing!

I took Megan down to the Health Clinic yesterday to be weighed, and our little girl now weighs 10lbs 13oz at 6 and a bit weeks, obviously she has been enjoying the boobie juice :)

She has also suffered with baby acne over the last couple of weeks, poor little thing - at one stage I thought about getting the big hat out to cover her face, but the doctor has given her some special cream to help clear it up....

Lucky Girl, more visitors = more cuddles!

Our Meggie is so lucky to have had so many visitors and so many cuddles!!

First Smile!

Yeay, we had the first proper smile from Megan today and she is only 4 weeks and 4 days old, it melts your heart to see it...

We also went shopping and brought a new chair for Meggie-moo-mars to sit in (thanks to the kind gift from Lee's ladies at work) as she gets a bit bored lying on the floor... As you can see she loves it, especially as she can now sit with mummy whilst she is busy in the kitchen getting daddy's dinner ready after a hard day at the office earning the corn :)

3 Weeks Old

Is so perfect we cannot stop looking at her or taking photos.. She is so beautiful and we cannot believe she is 3 weeks old, it feels as though she has been with us for a lot longer... Sleep deprivation not yet kicked in for me but poor daddy is suffering a bit!

More visitors for Megan....

We have been so lucky with all the wonderful visitors that have come to see us over the last 3 weeks... We can't wait to be out and about to show her off to all our other friends and family who haven't yet made it over to sunny Sidders!

2 Weeks Old and 2 peas in a pod!

I couldn't resist taking this photo, only 2 weeks old and already she has daddy's pose down to a tee! You cannot mistake who's daughter Megan is... Wonder if she will look like me soon?

Megan's visitors...

Megan has been spoilt rotten with kisses and cuddles from some of our wonderful family and friends over the last 13 days (that's how long she has been in the world which seems to have flown by...) that have come to visit and we still have lots more visits planned....
