Movements & music!

So it looks like our baby is a fan of Kanye West and Girls Aloud, whenever their songs come on the radio the kicking begins. When the music stops so do the movements...!! It is reassuring but the kicks are getting stronger and you can now see my belly moving. I can't wait for Lee to get home so he can see it!

Our 23 Week Scan

It was so amazing to see our baby at 23 weeks today.... A very exciting day for both Lee and I, although the baby didn't cooperate at first so I had to take a walk, jump up and down, eat a banana and go back for more scanning! Then we managed to see and hear that the baby was all there and looking healthy... Yeay, that was fantastic to hear and put lots of worries to rest... Apparently the baby is average size and weighs just over 1lb at the moment with lots of growing to do from here on in - eek!

22 Weeks

It's only when I look at photos of myself do I realise how much my belly is growing, but I still have a way to go which scares the life out of me.... I wonder just how big my belly will get???

Midwife Appointment - 10 April 2008

I had my formal check up with our midwife Jan this afternoon. So far, so fantastic! The baby has been kicking like crazy over the last few weeks and its getting stronger. It will either be a premiership footballer or a member of the Royal Ballet! It always reacts to Lee's dulcet tones or Kanye West.... Mmmmm, I haven't given it the pleasure of singing to it yet!
It's heartbeat was fast and strong which is a great sign.... Only 5 days until our 23 week scan - can't wait.
Our next midwife appointment will be on 20th May.
As for me, I am finally feeling normal and I would go as far to say I feel great. The sickness as really subsided and only catches up on me every other morning or so, but at least the whole day and night of feeling as sick as a dog has gone - YIPPEE!

Lee and I have a trial run at parenting....

I will leave it to the girls to decide how we did but it was fun for us (even though we waved goodbye to them in the afternoon and went straight to bed for a cat nap!!) It made us wonder what we are getting ourselves into. Still we had lots of fun and with the blanket of snow that fell on Sidcup we took the girls out for a snowball fight - Holly and I came off worse, we really must work on our throwing skills cause Lee and Gracie seemed to have the perfect shot...
Having walked them around the park it was time to head back home for a hot chocolate and more sing-a-long High School Musical 2.... Ahhhh the joy of pretend parenting :)
