Lee's New Project

Lee and his good friend Mike have decided that 2008 will be the year of the sunflower growing competition... Sunny Sidcup v Orpington Massive

The competition is well on its way but similar to fatherhood, Mike is at an advantage with his years of experience behind him whereas Lee is a new beginner and slowly learning by some initial mistakes (i.e not using slug pellets to begin with)...

As you can see things are going well and his daily chats with his sunflowers, the watering and regular sprinkling of miracle grow seem to be working now and Lee is very proud of his plants (so he should be) these will be prize winning sunflowers!

Midwife Appointment - 20 May 2008

Another check up today with my midwife Jan.... It's all good, not only was she very active throughout but I heard her heartbeat again (149 bpm). Was attacked by a needle as she needed to take my bloods to check for diabetes and other stuff (not quite sure what the other tests are for but she took at least 5 pints from my arm and I didn't pass out or squeek!) Now left with a HUGE bruise on my arm and very little sympathy from my future husband!!

Nursery Finished!!

At last we have finished the nursery and we are very pleased with the way it's turned out. Lee and I are whizzes at putting together furniture from Ikea now (so if anyone needs a hand...!)

Now we have started to buy all the other important bits needed for a new baby, who knew that babies would be so expensive! Thank goodness for our generous familys who have already started to spoil her, especially to our mums and dads, my sis, our nieces and Heather & Drew we love everything and so will our baby :)

26 - 27 Weeks

Yup, as you can see the belly is a growing and moving quite a bit... From the time I wake in the morning throughout the day to the time I go to bed my belly seems to change shape and grow a little every day... And she certainly is a wriggler making the most of the room she has left :)
